SUZUKI has brought a splash of urban style to its SX4 range with a new special edition SZ-L model.

The SX4 is a five-door hatchback that blends the characteristics of sporty compacts - like its stablemate the Swift - with those of lightweight SUVs to create a small car alternative.

And the new special edition comes with unique gun metal coloured roof rails, front grille, alloy wheels and front and rear skid plates.

Inside, there's Alcantara trim in light grey plus a three-spoke leather steering wheel with gun metal stitch detailing and six disc in-dash CD changer.

SZ-L is based on the SZ4 grade and is available in two wheel drive format with 120PS 1.6-litre petrol engine and manual transmission only.

It complies with Euro 5 emissions regulations, can accelerate from 0-62mph in 10.7 seconds and returns an average 45.6mpg with emissions of 143g/km.

Priced at £13,145 including metallic paint, the SZ-L is available in Silky Silver Pearl and Cosmic Black paintwork.

Suzuki's current deals also include offering the Alto SZ4 model with no VAT to pay. The offer continues until the end of September and represents a customer saving of £1,332, reducing the purchase price to £7,608.

And under a separate campaign, Alto SZ2 is available for a tempting £6,495, saving £1,160 on the list price, while the Special Edition SZ-L is equipped as standard with front fog lamps, air-con and trim upgrades for £6,995, a saving of £1,175.

Alto is one of the lowest cost cars to run with CO emissions of 103g/km, fuel economy of 64.2mpg, £20 annual VED charges and insurance group 1.
