Kenwood multimedia system for VW vans

LIFE on the road for drivers of VW vans is going to be a lot sweeter with the options of a top sound and navigation system.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a multimedia unit for music lovers wishing to upgrade their van's navigation and sound system capability.

In collaboration with car audio specialist Kenwood, the new navigation and multimedia unit offers exciting new features such as Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

Following in the footsteps of Kenwood's popular DNX525DAB unit which has been hugely popular with Volkswagen owners, the latest navigation and multimedia unit is available as an approved dealer fit accessory.

The system is available from all Volkswagen Van Centres and authorised repairers from the start of this month.

The new Kenwood unit also features full Europe Garmin navigation, Bluetooth hands-free and streaming connectivity and DAB digital radio tuner.

It retains the standard factory functions such as working with steering controls, displaying parking sensors and reversing camera where fitted.

The new unit features a seven-inch high-res touchscreen, DVD, CD, USB, SD card for digital music playback and iPod connectivity, as well as three-year free map updates, TMC traffic updates and photo-real junction views to help inform drivers of the road ahead.

The navigation system also offers over three million points of interest which are displayed via icons on the map.

The cost of the Kenwood system, which includes fitting, is £1,130.50.
