A STUNNING new Mexican-built track and road car, the VUHL 05, is to make an appearance in the UK at the upcoming London Motor Show being held at Battersea Park in May.

This will be the VUHL's first visit to these shores and interest in the beautifully-constructed, high-performance two-seater is expected to turn heads.

The striking VUHL 05 is designed for use on both road and track.

Its supplier list reads like a who's who of the global motor industry and no less than 42 per cent of the parts are sourced from the UK.

Power for the Mexican flyer comes from a 285bhp Ford EcoBoost 2-litre engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and it can hit 62mph from standstill in just 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of a claimed 152mph.

The company's managing director Guillermo Echeverria said: "Many of our customers already own, say, a Porsche or Lamborghini and see the nimbler but equally well-made VUHL as a natural garage companion."

Prices for the VUHL 05 in the UK start at £59,995.

An uprated version of the VUHL 05 will take part in the new Race Cars For The Road class at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June where it will take to the hill in the hands of a yet-to-be-announced top racing driver.
