THE spirit of history is the theme on the Jeep stand at this year's Geneva Motor Show as the models of yesteryear meet those of tomorrow to celebrate the brand's 75th anniversary.

In time-honoured Jeep style, the American icon is heralding a special edition on every model of the current line-up, all due to be up for grabs in UK showrooms this spring.

Produced in limited numbers with only 8,000 units available, the special edition models are distinguished by a new livery, a 75th anniversary badge, low gloss bronze-coloured rims, bronze and orange-coloured exterior inserts and exclusive interiors.

And a trio of vintage Jeep models - a 1941 Willys-Overland MB, a 1946 Willys Wagon and a 1963 Jeep Wagoneer - are being displayed at the show alongside four examples of the new ‘specials' and a Jeep Time Machine.

The latter enables visitors the chance, through the Oculus Technology, to get close to the models that made the brand what it is today.

Also exhibited is a new limited edition Grand Cherokee SRT Night boasting a stealth-like appearance with the front grille bezels, pillar and side window surrounds adorned in Matt Black.

The spotlight will also be on the Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition starring in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie.

Jeep has also just launched the new Renegade Night Eagle, just 160 of which are available in the unique Volcano Sand matt paint finish, which complements the two other colours Carbon Black and Alpine White.

Inside, the Renegade gets exclusive seats in bark brown fabric with electric lumbar support for the driver, leather wrapped steering wheel, dual zone climate control, DAB UConnect radio with 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth and satnav, and cruise control.

It comes with a choice of two MultiJet diesel engines in the shape of a 1.6-litre 120bhp with two-wheel drive, or a 2.0-litre 140bhp unit, driving all four wheels and prices are from £21,595.
