It’s the end of the month and you need to get your expenses in. You piece together your diary, and remember the places you’ve been to – working out, one-by-one, the mileage for each trip. A mileage expense report is then crafted and submitted.  However, the whole process has been a ‘time consuming pain’ – one that has not guaranteed accuracy, and which could have been better spent on more worthwhile tasks.     

AutoTrip was born out of this pain, as a simple out of sight, out of mind, solution to managing business mileage claims. 

AutoTrip achieves this through a plug & play, Internet connected, device that links to the on-board diagnostic port of the car (found in most cars since 1996).  It then automatically logs all trips to cloud-based mileage accounting software. Time sensitive privacy settings enable the user to choose when to record their mileage as private or business. If a trip is recorded into the wrong category it can be quickly changed with the click of one button at the end of the month.

This low cost plug and play system enables AutoTrip to reduce the time it takes to submit mileage reclaims from an average of 2 hours per month to less than 5 minutes, whilst creating accurate mileage expense reports to ensure HMRC compliance and correct compensation.
